I got something like this about 10 years ago and it's still going strong with basically daily wear. Sometimes leaves a bit of brown on my jeans but that washes off! I think I paid about £20, but inflation..

In my experience, the bit of a belt to fail is the buckle, so get one that is sewn in and not a clip. I've had too many clip belts fail and need to be fixed with tissue paper to be usuable. Really annoying.

Is RO typically exempt from NSF/ANSI performance standards and testing like distillation because they remove everything, or do they still need to be rated? My understanding was that NSF58 was the standard RO need to meet to qualify as legitimately RO when independently tested.

I ordered swatches from SO MANY COMPANIES and Apt2b's performance fabric passed my "wipe off spaghetti sauce," "water rolls right off," and "pick at it with a knife to see if fabric snags" tests with flying colors.

Guessing you didn't read the main post, but thanks. 😅 I’d be interested if you’ve had your filters efficacy tested after a few hundred gallons, given that the independent testing I cited showed massively reduced efficacy after 200-300 gallons.

I'm currently drinking out of one from the 90s.

Came here to suggest them as well. I have this one and it’s been holding up great in a house with 3 dogs and frequent guests. The leather is good quality as long as you condition it regularly, and it’s pretty affordable if you’re on a budget. I also love that all the cushions come off and can be re-stuffed if it starts to go flat.

Buying sofas new is a super wasteful way to get something to sit on. In my area second hand sofas can be had for pennies on the dollar- I scored a nearly new £3500 sofa and a &1200 armchair (Oskar tetrad) for £100 and an £80 van hire.
