+1 for Redland Cotton.

Their towels are fantastic. Not ultra plush (which is a good thing for towel longevity) but still very absorbent. just make sure to care for them correctly with Oxiclean. chlorine bleach will deteriorate the fibers. (This goes for ALL cotton towels, not just Redland.)

A reliable, working motorcycle.

I love to ride, but I'm on a tight budget. Luckily, I'm mechanically inclined and knowledgeable.

I find good quality used bikes that are cosmetically or mechanically rough. Then I fix them up and ride them!

I can usually get a good bike for about $1500. I put another $500-1000 in parts into it (+ a lot of time) and end up with a reliable bike!

680 ppm total dissolved solids here,, super hard water.. Make sure your water supply uses only chlorine and not chloramine (harder to remove). Check your federal water quality report municipalities are required to file, Google for it. I studied Amazon reverse ionization (EDIT: should have said Reverse Osmosis) ads and various online reviews to determine which filter types I needed, then bought standard canisters and refill cartridges of those types to do the actual filtering.. in my case it included sediment filter, deionization resin, and carbon block but I have chloramines so YMMV. If you are on well water or they dig up your pipes a lot(like me), the sediment filter might be nice but totally optional.

Water out= 0 ppm TDS! WOOHOO! Wash that car and leave no spots!!! You can also get 4.5" diameter canisters either 10"or 20" tall depending on consumption. Bigger lasts longer but costs more to replace.

Crumpler; Australian, so likely more easily available. Still pretty expensive; think 2-300$USD. But definitely overbuilt for life; I'm still using mine after 20 or so years, and it's still functionally like new, just acquired a patina of stains over the years.

I have a La-Z-Boy couch that is coming up on 10+ years and it’s still super comfy and the cushions are still firm. Full disclosure, I did buy it from a consignment store, but I think that speaks to the quality of the couch that it’s still holding up in good condition.

Lovesac. Not cheap but it is high quality. The covers are machine washable, it's fully modular, and they sell individual replacement parts for everything. It's very comfortable and I love being able to really clean the upholstery.

I initially balked at paying their price, but after extensive comparison shopping it was the right choice. There are 25% off sales several times a year plus the ability to combine with some other discounts. I haven't yet had to deal with their customer service but I have heard good things.
