Just made this purchase after researching intensely. Went with this the Osprey Nebula. It has a laptop section that can easily hold my large laptop, it can hold 2 drink containers. Possibly the best backpack I've ever owned. I also purchased a hanging clamp on so I can hang it up in a closet.

They’re awesome. They’re cheap. Damn near indestructible. Easy to clean. A multitude of aftermarket lids you can get to fit them to whatever preference you have.

I’ve bought Swell, been 6 years and still going. I’ve seen no obvious failure points on the bottle.

You might also tell us the screen size of your current and expected future laptops. I use a Kelty Redwing 40 that works well with my 17" screen even after slipping the laptop into a semi hard case.

Zojirushi makes stainless steel water bottles within your budget. They should be basically indestructible.
If you can find a way to get Liberty Bottles shipped to the UK, they may also work for you. They make aluminum bottles that should be very strong.
I will explore domestic options for you and return to this comment.

Avoid backpacks with the laptop sleeve directly on your back. I’ve had two laptops die that way until I switched to a photography bag.
Apecase has been the perfect bag since 2012. All are under $200!
Depending on your laptop size, ACPRO1800, ACPRO1900, or ACPRO2000. I carry around a gaming laptop and it all fits almost perfectly snug.
The lens/camera interior is removable and adjustable. Really cool system. To do a quick swap. Haven’t even used it for photography in years because it’s perfect for travel.
Fits in airplanes perfectly.
If there’s rain, it has a water proof cover in a pocket at the bottom.
Plus they have a lifetime warranty on the site. Never called it in to check but my bags never had an issue and I’ve literally used it every day. Maybe I’ll make a post for the sun.

I have the heattech "jeans" from uniqlo. They are a blend of cotton and synthetic and pretty elastic, while keeping the jeans look. I don't expect them to last decades but they are decently cheap - and will last some years even with daily use.

Those 98 era sirens would be cool in the arsenal. Post results when you’re done!

End table sized just right to take no more than minimal space between loveseats. Made in "I" shape, no cabinetry just top.

Coffee Roaster, I had been using a airpopper to roast coffee and got some friends excited enough to buy coffee from me. I started to get a small following and could not keep up with the airpopper and built myself after lots and lots of trial and error a fluid bed style roaster capable of roasting 7lbs of coffee in about 20 minutes. Its a great roaster and 10 years later I still use it a couple times a month. I only roast for myself and my office at the moment.

Reply to Workboots for Sheet Metal/HVAC by FactoidFreak
Best in my opinion would be a pair of redwing work boots. I would go with a “6 as they are better for working in tight areas.
I would also recommend getting his feet properly sized for the new boot as they can be rather pricy.
Being a Canadian sheet metal worker I found it was practical to have two pairs of boots one for summer and one for winter.
Hope this helps

You might want to ask this over at r/backpacks It's a sub dedicated to this type of question.

I'm currently wearing a 5 year old pair of Flexon frames on their second pair of lenses. Frames are still good but paint has worn off on the bridge and bottom corners and plastic earpad on one side is starting to get pitted on the outside. Going to replace them this year as I need new lenses again.

I've had a chance to use the Aeron at a number of jobs in the past (I'm a programmer). When I went full remote I splurged and bought one for myself. It's literally fixed the back problems I used to have. Great warranty, very sturdy and repairable. Big fan here!

Dishwasher friendly too. They're thin so quite a lot of it can be stacked and stored in cabinets. I like that they don't have raised borders around the plates and saucers, which are annoying and useless.

The hold function on the dm2000 delay, plus the 1000+ms delay option he uses for the ghost siren and digital delay loops
I think he’s using a digitech obscura for the reverse reverb

My hydroflask I’ve had since 2015. There’s so many dents on it I’m surprised it’s still holding up. I don’t use it as much now, but it’s still in rotation from time to time.
Nalgene is great and light weight. I cracked one once, dropped it full of water, and they replaced it for free. I just sent photos of the cracked bottle.
Yeti 64oz is a beast and is my current daily driver. I dislike the taste of water in the office so I bring water to work every day.
Other bottles I’ve had along the way zojirushi thermos- got it in 09 for mixing baby formula. Keeps hot things hot too well IMO. My parents use it now. Camelbak chute- both plastic and stainless steel. Works well, insulation is pretty minimal for the SS one. Quality on par with naglene for plastic version

Came here just to say this. The cloudy white ones with the blue caps that look like actual labware and not a spinoff from a company that originally made labware, are functionally indestructible. If you think they're ugly, put some stickers on them. If you're worried about the health effects from drinking out of plastic, take a moment to think about what most if your food and water already is packaged in/flows through, and stop worrying.
