Sizing is everything. Get your partner measured on the brannock device as a starting point. Mens boots typically run up to a size larger than sneakers.
My second point on sizing is that as a result of people not measuring their feet properly you find a tonne of boots worn only a handful of times on eBay for a fraction of the price.
Picked up some Red Wing Blacksmiths that had been worn less than five times for $155 when they retail for $395 here in the UK.

Please tell him to change the oil and wash the car. That Avalon would still be on the first engine and may not be completely rotted out and still going if he does so. I live in Wisconsin so I know cars aren’t truly BIFL with the salt factor.

I really love my Allen Edmonds chelsea boots! I'd wear them everyday if I could, and in fact I do my damnedest.

He actually had a towncar until he crashed it. RWD cars suck in winter. He ended up setting for a forester, thanks!

I use the Lanon liquid silicone heat/cold resistant gloves. These have treated me very well over the last couple years for BBQ/Grilling related activities.

Red Wing Irons Rangers or Blacksmiths. Nicks boots also occasionally has deals, but they’re typically between 500-600 for the heritage style. He’ll likely have both for life, but Nicks are far and away better quality.

Has anyone else used cookworld cook ware? I bought a small set in 2013, stainless steel -blah blah, but bottom line THEY LAST LONGER THEN HUMANS. Lol. You can run them dry, and steam any food. I use mine mainly for steak, and chops, and, what's that other thing!??? Right! STEAK!!! great for searing, steaming and easy clean up. If anything burns ON the pan, easy fix. Just run it with water , covered for 1 hour. Boom! Everything that was stuck comes off waaaay easier. But I have not run into any one else with a set of these.
- The metal does discolor after high heat sessions, and it changes the "look" over time, if that kind of thing concerns you.

Does it really matter if you don’t change the oil anyways.

Brand new cars minus tech? The cheapest option available. 10-20 years? Probably none if you don’t change the oil. I’d probably take a look at Kia. Otherwise find a 98 crown Victoria in New Mexico.

The industry standard tests are ANSI standards 42, 53, and 401. 42 addresses contaminants that aren't health related (chlorine, particulates, etc), 53 addresses contaminants that affect health (lead, VOCs, asbestos, etc), and 401 addresses "emerging compounds" which are things like prescription drugs, pesticides, and other incidental things whose effects are still being discovered.
Most good filters will be certified for several of the more common contaminants from these standards, Brita Elite and Longlast+ filters are certified for 13 of the contaminants in Standard 53. You can find this on Brita's performance data sheet, and Pur has similar info available
The difficulty is because there are so many different contaminants that testing and certification becomes really expensive and convoluted. Just because a filter has an NSF certification doesn't mean that it's certified to filter the specific contaminant you're looking for.
Then you get into sketchy stuff like Berkey and other rando filters where getting certified for all the containments they claim would cost over a million dollars, so there isn't really a way to verify their performance figures except running an independent test for hundreds of chemicals.

Once you find a couple of coats you like, consider getting it used somewhere like Poshmark, Mercari, or eBay. You're going to have to look closely at the photos if you go that route, but you can save a good chunk of change.

Well, thank you all! we ended up with a used subaru forester. It had the CD radio and I guess will work awesome since it is 4WD. My granpa didn't like the fact that it wasn't a sedan but he says that it was very easy to get in and out. The guy we bought it is a garage mechanic, he told him that he will install the temperature gauge for free and that he can take care of the oil changes, I guess what mostly sold to my grandpa was the subwoofer, no idea my granpa was a bass head. Thank you all! We will be picking it up tomorrow or the day after tomorrow since the mechanic will be installing the temperature gauge, once we have it I will share a picture.

My grand parents are completely opposite except in one thing. They love music and I have not seen another library or shop that has half of the collection they have. My grandmother is more tech savy, she has an iphone XS or XR not sure it starts with X, knows how to use bluetooth and all that. My granpa has my old granmother iphone8 and only uses it for calls and some times because he always forgets to charge it.
My granpa really likes cds and to hear radio, I have tried a lot of times to teach him to use bluetooth and spotify, but he really doesn't want nor care.

Not that maintenance in general is a scam, but that places that do it are. He used long time ago to do its own maintenance. TBH he really doesn't take care of his cars, which is weird, my grand mother keeps her cars super pristine. Her honda element hits the dealership every 6 months most of the times with less than a 1000 miles difference.
I really don't know what my granpa thinks but he thinks they try to oversell stuff and charge too much for things he could get in autozone for cheaper and do it self. Stuff like that sort, but yeah, he doesn't take care of his cars just tires, breaks and stuff that breaks.

There is no environmental damage. You are reading articles about PAST manufacturing processes and applying today. No one uses PFAS or PFOA in PTFE pans today. And the amount of people with birds who use their pans wrongly (over heat the pans) to cause that danger is critically low.

Yeah, Wirecutter had some tests run and found that they outperformed other filters in lead reduction but they weren't able to support any of Berkey's other claims.
It's just such a strange red flag how Berkey is like "we outperform all the NSF and ANSI tests for water filtration" but won't actually get a certification that verifies it.
