Basically any Toyota or 4 cyl Honda should last for decades if taken care of.

Sharp still makes them and sells them, so yes, apparently enough folks still use them.

If he is still using it it means he never got a tax refund 😜

Also came here to recommend a Subaru. My 80 year old relative drives an Outback, a 73 year old relative drives a Forester, and a 30 year old relative also has a Forester. Subarus are reasonably sturdy, drive great in all weather, but most importantly have many safety features which are especially helpful for older folks.

Dunno about that one. Dropped my tamagotchi in the toilet like 2 weeks after I got it and it never worked again. My mom did the bag of rice and everything.

My cast iron skillet (lodge) is great on my induction stove, not sure what issues you might have.
Anyway as has been suggested, I also have a Mauviel M'Cook 5-Ply and love it.

I've had Rancourts, Aldens, Red wings, but out of all the boots I've had only my Vibergs and Whites will outlast me. Truly handmade to last.

I feel that my dexterity is good wearing them and they are not that stiff. I do at time have trouble gripping things.

It might be worth investigating and pricing an aftermarket cd player installation.

I’m 46 and waiting for the backlash against infotainment features to start so I can buy a new car. Can some car company just give me a spot for my phone on the dash? I already bring it everywhere anyway. I don’t want a big screen tv in my car. My Dad’s 70 and drives a new Camry hybrid and there’s so much going on in the dashboard it gives me a headache, I don’t know how he deals with it.

I’ve had my Wolverine 1000 mile boots for about 8 or so years now, and absolutely love them. They’re a simple, timeless design and incredibly comfortable. I’ve since tried to get another pair of boots from Thursday and they just didn’t compare in terms of leather quality, they just felt cheap and plasticky almost. When I wore through the leather sole I got them resoled and swapped to rubber which was definitely an improvement although I never had any real issues with the leather.

Old Honda CRV I think they’re called. Get one from late 2000s, early 2010s.

Search for Navy bridge coat on eBay for surplus. Its a Navy pea coat but longer in length. Any tailor can swap the buttons for like $20 if you aren't a fan of the buttons.

I used one of these up until about 2010 or so. It was still really excellent for showing work in recalculating someone else's work in audits.

Step zero is getting his size as quality footwear comes in width and length. Use a Brannock device or https://www.rei.com/assets/pdf/printable-brannock/nb-printable_brannock/live.pdf to know that he is, say a 7C. Then you can buy 7C boots.
Comfort is a personal metric and one cannot ask this online.

As someone who was hit by an overwhelmed 80 y/o woman head on, its time for one (arguably) both your parents to stop driving. If “oil changes are a scam” and an infotainment screen and turn-signals are too overwhelming, they’re either in early stages of dementia or just a hazard to the public. Buy them an old Honda or, ideally, dont let them drive at all. how did they make it this far? Cars have been inundated with additional features/ tech as labeled buttons for 20-25+ years now. No BIFL suggestion here, time to get the wheels off the road.

If you think cast iron is bad at conducting heat then you can't be reasoned with. It is one of the best heat cunducting meterials used in cooking bar none. This sounds like you want magic.
If the burner is to much smaller than the pan either buy a large portable induction burner or learn to move the food around the pan. You know like the Chinese do in a Wok.
