Saladmaster makes some great pots and pans. Guaranteed for life! I like them cause they are just industructable, and the handles are removable so you can also bake with them. In order to buy them new, someone will come to your house and cook you a meal and teach you how to use them properly. They are pricey....but definitely BIFL.

I only own two sets of sheets (both linen) and only one set has a flat sheet. I haven't noticed any obvious wear to either over the last ~4 years. I alternate/launder every one to two weeks, and I don't hang dry. And my sheets are just now beginning to soften. That being said, before trying to find a new brand, I'd want to know the root cause of what you're seeing, because what you're describing sounds incredibly unusual. Where are the holes happening? Even if you've been washing your sheets at high heat and high spin, that kind of wear sounds nuts. Where are the holes happening? Are they coming from stitches coming loose at the edges? Near your toes (i.e. perhaps toenails cutting into them?) Where your dog/cat sleeps? Are you soaking stains in bleach? You'll want to know why the holes are happening before spending more money, in my opinion. Also, if they are small holes, I'd just darn and/or patch them in the meantime until you figure out what you want to get next.

Not necessarily brand new but if you can find a good, well-maintained 2018 Lexus ES350 it’s got everything you’re looking for. Advanced enough with backup camera, push to start, lane assist etc, but not too techy for your grandpa. Plus it’s got a CD player. A well-maintained Lexus can last you many years.

We have a set of Sabatier which weren’t too expensive but have been brilliant with regular sharpening.

Until someone put them in the dish washer and the handles have cracked. Getting them rehandled is going to be about 6x more expensive than another set which is a pain.

Also we have lost 2 of the small knives; I’m not sure how that happens.

Pair your current earphones with 33 db earplugs and play pink noise loudly through a speaker. Point the speaker at your head.

I am very noise sensitive, but this does the trick. Or even just earplugs + pink noise. Pink noise is better than white noise because it covers more noise frequencies. Brown noise is better for lower sounds, however.

Not exactly what you were looking for, but hope this helps.
