Great looking bag and seems like it’s high quality too. I have a big of a backpack fetish and keep wishing in the back of my mind that my Timbuk 2 would show some age or some sign of a flaw to give me an excuse to get a new backpack. However it has gone from being my school bag, to hiking bag, to working on construction sites and being thrown around bag and hasn’t shown any weakness yet.

I have to carry around company credit cards, a professional license, and my ordinary credit cards and ID. And during the holidays my family always gives me restaurant giftcards, which I know I’ll forget about unless I literally walk around with them in my pocket. So I like having a trifold to ensure everything is in one spot.

I have had my Sennheisers for over a decade now and all that needed to be replaced were the cables and ear cushions. They're nice but since phones went the way of Bluetooth I switched to Ultimate Ears FITs and while the case has gotten banged up they've still served me well since I got them.

I would probably also recommend IEMs at this point, but for earbuds with a more custom fit I like to recommend UE as a brand because they have an app that lets you tune the sound quality, and pretty much all their headphones have a custom fit. I chose the FITs because you can buy light activated gel tips and replace them if your ears change for whatever reason (swelling, injuries), they sent me the smallest size free of charge when I commented that their standard size didn't fit my ears (too big) long term. Because they mold to your ear they're a great fit. UE also just has a good balance between sound, fit, customer service.

I think their drops model is the new kid on the block, it comes with an impressions kit that you send back and they make it for you. But otherwise UE 5 CSX is their consumer level IEM that comes with Bluetooth and wires that you can swap out depending on your use case. I haven't really gone that route because I'm happy with my FITs and you have to go to an audio engineer to get fitted, I think.

Yeah, if you don't actually have the capital that is a good reason.

I would try and save to though, since you'll be spending a lot more money in the long run if you don't switch.

I was very reluctant to get a dryer, even though my girlfriend wanted one for years, and after getting one they are FAR more efficient and do a much better job of drying clothes than the old ones I grew up with.

The humidity sensors in particular are fantastic - no over or under dry clothes, and almost no creases!

Just take it out when it is 'cupboard dry', fold, and put away.

Head shaver here.

I have used safety razors for years. When I shaved my face daily, my standard was a Merkur 39C slant. It's famously aggressive, but I had my technique down and found it to be the best. I have tried numerous others and could always get close shaves. Even with experience and a good technique, I could never get a great shave on my head so I stuck with a Mach3 for that task.

Then I tried the Henson AL13. It was a gamechanger for me. I found it as easy to use on my head as any disposable. I highly recommend Henson Shaving for head shavers. It is a great product. My only complaint is that it's aluminum (personal preference.) I've been toying with the idea of buying their titanium version but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

i feel the same way! i'm making it a point to buy everything i can BIFL now.

it's helpful to remember that humans make decisions on emotion, then back them up with data. realizing this helps me slow down my decision making and really think why i was emotionally triggered to buy something.
