Osprey. If anything happens to it, they will fix or replace it regardless how old it is.

Edit; also I recommend buying if from REI, if possible. They have a 12 month return policy, no questions asked. Their staff will fit you for the pack and add weight to it so you can get an accurate feel, before being on trail.

I understand, and I will buy piece by piece, but I want it to be from one company as much as possible, both for visual consistency but also to make it easy to put into each other when putting back into the cupboard.

You are saying all clad, I will look into that thanks :)

Any other company that I need to look at ?

It's called a chef's knife. It was the one knife I used more then anything, I even used it to remove skin from fish. It's not optimal but with a little practice it's no problem. Much easier and quicker to just sharpen one knife then have to keep 6 sharp. Mine is a wusthof classic, 20cm I think.

Once again it's best to buy piece by piece what you need.

You want tri ply if going stainless. All clad is the standard which everything else is compared to, tratamonia is good enough.

I'd get a cast iron skillet and enameled Dutch oven separately.

This is the one I grew up with! My dad would cut down a brown grocery bag to fit under the chute, then we'd load up individual bowls with popcorn & pour the butter over those.

Man, so many great memories of watching the Sunday night Disney movie & eating popcorn.

I'm pretty sure the wire frayed & sparked in the early 2000s. I just bought a new air popper that has the melty butter dish too.

I currently use this one. No idea how long I've been using it though, maybe 4-5 years because that's when I started cooking for myself.

I'm moving countries in a month so I plan to buy the exact same thing again to take with me, because my body and brain are used to that knife.

Can you have them Re-soled? A cobbler might be able to give them a refresh and re-sole and get you a few more years out of them.

Personally, I have trouble finding shoes wide enough (size 12, 4-5E width depending on the brand).my goal is to eventually buy a pair of White’s, JK, or Wesco fully custom boots. White’s will keep your lady on file for future purchases. But with how much prices have gone up it has gone from a $500 to a $900 purchase unfortunately.
