Their down jackets do not last long. Don't let anyone fool you. Sure they will help patch it but a city dweller here I've had to patch and repair the zippers 3x as well as having the fabric rip apart loosing all the down.

Kindve crazy for 280

Yeah Thursday boots def are not worth it. Check out oakstreetbootmakers.com, I think they are in Chicago but not positive. I have a pair of their kudu leather lakeshore boots and they are just amazing. Not sure if they make that particular boot anymore but they have some amazing stuff.

If you’re going near the Museum of Useful Things or the MOMA museum shop, it’s well worth looking at their sites, both love to exhibit and sell great designs that age beautifully.

Quality has definitely gone done for duluth trading company products. I have some older fire hose pants and I recently bought a new pair and the new pair now look worse than the older pairs that I have. Also they don’t have a lifetime warranty anymore on their products.

I will never buy anything but Patagonia. They encourage people to repair their items, have a full repair center, life time warranties, and even an online used clothing shop. Outstanding quality, although some offerings lag slightly behind competitors in terms of technology, they’re always somewhat close.

Where are you going? I'd suggest actually visiting the places you want to buy from and then you're actually not buying stuff for the sake of buying stuff.

If you're going to be in the Pacific northwest, I'd make a point of trying to find whites or nicks boots and trying them on. If you're in the northeast and around cities like New York, Boston, or Washington DC then I'd suggest visiting an Alden shoes store and trying those on. Thursdays are not bifl.
