Their down jackets do not last long. Don't let anyone fool you. Sure they will help patch it but a city dweller here I've had to patch and repair the zippers 3x as well as having the fabric rip apart loosing all the down.

Yeah Thursday boots def are not worth it. Check out oakstreetbootmakers.com, I think they are in Chicago but not positive. I have a pair of their kudu leather lakeshore boots and they are just amazing. Not sure if they make that particular boot anymore but they have some amazing stuff.

I did follow the sizing guild and they don't fit right. I was just wondering if anyone had had a similar experience and what they did or any recommendations to other brands. I wear a size 10.5 and got a large like the chart said.

Very high-quality products with a price to match. Patagonia funds world class conservation work, I'm not aware of another company that comes close: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/14/climate/patagonia-climate-philanthropy-chouinard.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare

Depends on what you’ll use of course but I buy these for UK family - Hamilton shirts made in USA western style (Lyle Lovett collection). Hamilton shirts

Reply to This is one of my Pendleton wool blankets. Any idea if this is fixable? Where/who might I look for locally to fix it? I just don’t want it to get worse. by lukeman3000
Just sewing it is fine, but if the corners get a lot of wear and tear, you can also add on bias tape to protect them.
A nearby tailor shop or dry cleaner can usually sew or modify things quickly and neatly, and they’re often very inexpensive.

If you’re going near the Museum of Useful Things or the MOMA museum shop, it’s well worth looking at their sites, both love to exhibit and sell great designs that age beautifully.

Depends on what you want to spend. $300 Redwing Iron Rangers or Blacksmith $450 Whites $600 Alden Indy, best boot in my opinion. I have had mine for nearly 10 years. Honestly though there are much better boot manufacturers in the UK and EU.

No, if you’re in the States you will need to order from a 3rd party. For a lower price, ask your local vacuum shop to order one for you.

Quality has definitely gone done for duluth trading company products. I have some older fire hose pants and I recently bought a new pair and the new pair now look worse than the older pairs that I have. Also they don’t have a lifetime warranty anymore on their products.

Nice, they look decent. Will investigate.
1000 mile, is that a claim that sounds good but isn't that impressive?
My £40 Clarks have easily lasted 1000 miles...

Can confirm Hanks belts. Bought my first - Old World Harness about 3 months ago - and since have purchased 2 more. Won’t buy any others.

Buy from then directly. I bought something recently from MEC, who used to have an excellent return policy. It’s changed since they sold the company. (Better sweater, tons of pilling).

I will never buy anything but Patagonia. They encourage people to repair their items, have a full repair center, life time warranties, and even an online used clothing shop. Outstanding quality, although some offerings lag slightly behind competitors in terms of technology, they’re always somewhat close.

Where are you going? I'd suggest actually visiting the places you want to buy from and then you're actually not buying stuff for the sake of buying stuff.
If you're going to be in the Pacific northwest, I'd make a point of trying to find whites or nicks boots and trying them on. If you're in the northeast and around cities like New York, Boston, or Washington DC then I'd suggest visiting an Alden shoes store and trying those on. Thursdays are not bifl.
