I can attest that their customer service is fantastic and they really do stand behind their stuff. I had a raincoat from them that ripped in the dryer (my mistake really, I should have air dried it). I contacted customer service about a repair. Instead, they sent me a brand new one, the same model but slightly improved design, no questions asked, and recycled my old one.

You live in likely the most target rich BIFL footwear country in the world and want to get the bottom tier boots in America? Unless they have a specific type that really speaks to you, pass on them.
And there are 10,000 BIFL things in America and we can't list them. And they'd likely save you $0 vs. buying online. Having traveled the world, I can think of very few things that are cheaper in their home country. Hell....Yankee Candles are cheaper at Target than the factory store attached to the plant where they are made. Shit's maddening.

Yeah thats me too.
Thursday boots look less rugged, which is what I'm after.
Also great value. Sure not as good as other GYW boots, but they're also not $500...

It is the only hoover I’ve used that doesn’t clog every time I used it. We had one in my first year uni flat that survived multiple broken glass cleanups

Skip Thursday boots - go with Redwing IMO. Or if you want other recs, ask the fine folks at r/goodyearwelt.
Enjoy your trip!

You could just find an old fashioned cobbler and have them make you custom boots.

Nick's and White's are common recommendations here and I haven't heard a single bad thing about either

Capitalism is not going to save the earth from climate change. It's the whole reason climate change is happening in the first place.

I have a question is there any bootmaker of higer quality but similar aesthetic to the thursday boots in the US, I'm European and I find a lot of the US boots adviced here not to be aesthetically pleasing(for example the red rangers) but thursday boots are stylish enough.

Just be aware wthe very strange fit for jackets and coats—small in the torso and long in the arms. Otherwise good stuff.

My oldest North Face fleece/hoodie just will not give up. Every one since has fallen apart - pockets on the front seem a weak spot, they'll get holes at the stress points.
That first one though probably has decades left!

1620 is probably the best high end workwear but honestly I like Carhartts duck cloth. It works great and you can get a jacket for a fraction of the price as 1620. I would advise against waxed jackets, they are a maintenance issue and while were practical back in the olden times, they are more now a novelty and stylish statement, not the most practical work wear material at all.

Brasher boots are some of the finest boots made, and they’re in the UK.

Lodge Cast iron products but weight can be an issue. You can find them almost anywhere (Target, Walmart, local supermarkets, etc).

Personally, I'd skip the Thursday boots. You have a lot of good boot makers in the UK and there are many better options in the USA if you're willing to expand your budget just a little bit more.
The USA is great for other leather goods too, so if you need a wallet or belt I'd add that to your list. A place like Hanks is great for belts, and they sell wallets too, but I don't have any experience with those. Check out etsy shops with a good reviews for hand made leather goods too. Since you were looking at the Thursday boots, it sounds like you'll have a place that will accept mail.

This is the best advice. For constantly rubbing against brick and fireplaces I wouldn’t spend too much on any jacket because they’re not going to stand up that long regardless.
