Reply to This is one of my Pendleton wool blankets. Any idea if this is fixable? Where/who might I look for locally to fix it? I just don’t want it to get worse. by lukeman3000
Just sew it up with some wool yarn/cotton or something.

I don’t know if their quality has dropped but I have had my Calphalon SS set for 15 years now. I have been happy with it but clean them by hand every time, but I’ll concede my next set (sometime in the next 5 years) will be All-Clad. Just trying to throw out a durable economic option

Use a little speed sew on it.

On one hand, I highly support handmade wardrobes, for aesthetic, fun, and ethica reasons. However, fabric worth sewing is expensive, and you will quickly discover why average working-class humans have been getting along with only two or three outfits for the last thousand years

Home-made clothes are fantastic, but you'll need some practice. And a decent sewing machine - don't buy a cheap one. And space. And patience. You can hunt down cheap patterns at second-hand stores. Once you've made a few items, you'll get faster at it. I'd make more clothes if I had the patience. It can be frustrating, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Head over to r/sewing for some inspiration.
Dressmaker/tailor-made will be best, but it will also be costly. On the other hand, high-quality clothes will last a long time, and you won't need to be buying replacements every 1 - 2 years.

Unlimited budget- probably Nick's or White's. Otherwise watch a lot of Rose Anvil videos on YouTube and make your own decision with your budget.

I mean as far as I'm concerned the Audio quality is good. I'm not gonna claim it'll beat out your bose or anything like that but the noise cancellation certainly will.
Audio filtering on the mic is just okay. It does fine with ambient noise but if you're moving a lot and it's brushing up against your clothes you'll notice.

I've been holding off getting a new pair of anything because I want (need?) a much higher battery life and something more durable/rugged for daily heavy use. You just sold me!
How's the audio quality? How's the microphone noise canceling for calls?

Pro 2 all the way.
I got the extras originally but I literally went through 3 pairs on warranty because the circuit connection at the base of the earbud kept failing. They'd last 3-4 months but they'd all eventually develop shorts. They worked great and I honestly like the design better, but eventually they got tired of warranting me and upgraded me to the pro 2s. I'm 8 months in of daily wear for 12 hour shifts and they are comfortable, battery is holding up great, and performance is as.good as ever.
Haven't used the Frees or the NoiseAwares. Neither really fits my needs. I work factory so I have to have that noise cancelling power and that 16hr battery life on the Pro 2s is amazing. Music all night with no charging.

Redwing 2412 or 2414s. The hold up in the shit hole I work in. Make sure to get the redwing boot grease. I had some stitching repaired a couple years ago and they are still going strong. Offer EEE sizes

All-Clad was pretty special when they introduced tri-ply cookware in 1971, but today lots of companies are producing sets that are functionally the same and cost a lot less. Check Costco Kirkland Signature, Ikea, Sur la Table.

Others have said All-Clad. They're having a sale on factory 2nds and damaged packaging for the next 2 days... https://homeandcooksales.com/ Edit: the 5 piece D3 set is a great start. Tramontina is great for the money.

All-Clad is pretty much the king if you can swing it I ended up going with the Tramontina tri-ply full clad set (Costco currently has a set) which is a decent value and in my budget about four years ago, and has held up for me.

Not intentionally; just completely ignorant as to all things fabric repair. Why?
