Those are amazing. They hold their flexibility because all the BPA compounds were still legal when those were made.

My dad used the bottom-right red one to bring his sandwiches to work for probably 30 years. He's 67 and has parkinson's now, though it's more likely to be related to farming chemicals than Tupperware, but it would be interesting to know.

Somebody might be able to help you out if you'd pick a more relevant item for comparison, grandpa.

Now I need one of those French presses. I’m always afraid to break my glass one!

I've had that same press, I didn't care too much for it but it's possible I wasn't doing something right with it

Why are you coming to the internet and asking about shoes that will last 2+ years when you literally posted a photo of shoes you liked and wore for 4 years? Seriously....get another pair of Adidas. Those look like some flavor of Sambas.

One does not break in sheets. You buy them, you use them, you wash them....at some point in the cycle they get softer. If you wanted soft sheets out of the box, you bought the wrong ones.

That’s not true. The plunger is not impermeable and the grounds are still wet.

Haha I inherited mint conditions boxes of this shit from my great aunt. We didn’t end up using it, and no one wanted it. During our last move, it went to the dumpster as sad as that is. Broke my heart honestly cause they look fucking sweet lol

In general, golf umbrellas are amazing for durability. However, they are usually fairly large, which I like.

You ever think about items you've eaten and drank in terms of volumes? Like how many encyclopedias worth of pizza have I eaten?

I've had a pair of Kizik's for a couple years at least and still in good shape. And super easy to put on, which is a big bonus when you're middle aged with back issues.

Pull the plunger 3/4 of the way up and spray some water on to it. The water will pool on the top of the plunger, and when you pull it the rest of the way up, it travels through the screens and removes a good deal of the grounds stuck to it. Pull it fully out, hold it sideways and spray the rest of the grounds stuck on the underside into the container. Take it outside, swirl it a couple times, and launch the grounds onto the lawn. Go back inside, take the plunger apart and spray the last few remnants that were trapped in the screens.

They’re much more “work/outdoorsy” but I recently switched from New Balance to Keen.

That’s the purpose of the plunger. Depressing the plunger at the end of the brew compresses the grounds at the bottom of the container to prevent overbrewing.

My grandparents both died of non Hodgkins lymphoma. The Dr said it was a one in a million chance. They used these every day for years. It was the farm chemicals though.
