What? Lol

I’ve had it for about 5 years at this point, disassembled and reassembled once for a move. I got the more expensive slats to go with it. Zero issues.

I'd recommend you not conclusion shop on the internet. State your location, budget and desires and get answers to your question. Or you will be back here and conclusion shopping again and again.

They’re not leather, but I highly suggest Grip6 belts. I’ve worn mine every day for five years and it hardly shows any wear. They go for $40. Comfortable, stylish, and indestructible. It’s the only belt I’ll need for the rest of my life.

I had this for a year, moved and sold on Craigslist, and then bought the same model on Craigslist in my new place and have had it for another 2 years. I love it! It’s cheap and gets the job done. It’s not a luxury bed frame by any means though so not sure if it’s a BIFL, eventually I could see myself wanting to upgrade as it’s pretty bare bones.

We have the Tarva but are using it with a box spring right now. Once we switch we’ll get the better bed slats (Lonset not Luroy). It’s not noisy and it seems sturdy but we’ve only had it for 6 months. Collectively my partner and I are around 350 lbs, if it makes a difference.

I purchased the Piglet in Bed mattress topper and was not impressed with the quality, I contacted them and they did give me a refund when I sent it back, but yeah I was gutted.
Edit:typo

I second the wool room. I have their washable all season duvet insert, it’s brilliant.

I have a recommendation for a certain type of construction, and an example of that type that I wish I could recommend.
I have 3 of these: https://www.kilnerjar.co.uk/products/0025829-fresh-storage-060-litre/
I have only owned them for around a year. However, based on the construction, I can vouch that the way the top snaps on seems much more likely to be BIFL than a snapware style top. The metal clip rotates in the hole, so you're not flexing a piece of plastic every time you clip-unclip. If I were looking for new glasswares, I would look for a latching mechanism like this.
Unfortunately, I can't really recommend this specific model for three reasons:
- They don't stack well. Seriously they take up SOO much room in the cabinet. Almost no overlap when you put the bottoms one inside the other. Also, no indentation on the top so when you stack them closed, nothing stops the top one from sliding off.
- They don't sell individual replacement parts. The tops and bottoms seem likely to be BIFL to me, but I expect the seals to wear out (one of mine has a small tear in it already). When the seal breaks or if I drop a top, I want to order spare parts, but right now I can't.
- As far as I can tell, they are only sold in the UK any more. You can find people re-selling them on Amazon for a mark-up on top of the already high prices.
It's a real shame, because those 3 things are all totally fixable, and if they were they'd be an amazing product that I'd instantly drop $500 on. But as it stands I can't justify buying them at all.
Mason jars are a good option for things that fit in them.

I have a Saddleback I bought a long time ago. It’s nice but I got a little frustrated when they jacked prices while also stating that they were going to allow more flaws in the leather because it was “character flaws.” I could have dealt with one of the two (price increase OR lesser leather) but not both.
Later I purchased a Bullhide for my Dad and it was good quality.
For myself I purchased a black and brown (two separate) belt from Hanks. They are very solid options.
Overall I wear the Saddleback and the black Hanks because I tend to wear black more than brown.
Any of the three are solid choices but I won’t buy from Saddleback any more.
Hope that helps.

They cheaped out on the tops some time between 2015 and 2021. The new ones are a clearer, less rigid plastic which are MUCH less durable. The old ones are stiff and a little bit white/cloudy looking plastic. You can also tell some of them apart by color (e.g. the larger of the two square sizes used to be green, now teal).

I've been using a Zojiruahi lunch jar for nine years now and love the little compartments. It keeps my lunch warm enough to eat without waiting in line for the office microwave.
