LL Bean Wicked Good slippers are BIFL unfortunately they don't make them in 16. Mine are going strong 15 years later and I wear them daily in the winter. The sheepskin on the bottom is worn out but they are still comfy, warm and no failures.
Good luck finding a quality 16 slipper.

We love our Snapware Tupperware set we bought from Costco years ago. But the plastic lids are breaking. Looking for a replacement lid set since I would rather not buy an entire new set.

One of the few brands made in the US with US steel. No having to worry about rust in the dishwasher or lead in the steel. The flatware is BIFL. Even their econo-line is fantastic. Not cheap but if you wait for a sale a full set for six people can be found for around fifty bucks.

IMO get an under sink filter. I suggest either the Filtrete 3US-MAX-S01 or an Aquasana AQ-MF-1 (buy quality fittings as the kit ships with subpar ones). They essentially filter the cold water side of the faucet and remove most of the funky taste of most public water. If you are on well water, consider something more substantial but both of these will remove the nasty stuff such as lead and are relatively higher flow with affordable and simple filter changes.
Easy to install and will last years with regular filter changes every six months or so. I put our last one in twelve years ago and still going strong. The Aquasana is a better overall filter but frankly the Filtrete on public water gets the job done just as well for half the price.

Reply to Sandals recommendations..? by Far_Sea_892
Chaco Z/1 will easily go longer than pretty much any other sandal when abused. I wear them fishing, kayaking, beach, hiking, etc in the Florida outdoors year round. They excel pretty much everywhere and will still be going strong long after the tread is completely worn down. I even managed to drive a nail half way through one that would have easily gone through any typical shoe or sandal.
There only con as far as I am concerned is they are comparatively heavy .

Outerknown is my new go-to. The two pairs of paints I got from them 2 month ago are nicely made. Sustainably made and some of their jeans are guaranteed for life.
bad-monkey t1_j7mfpi9 wrote
what kind of gun/painting system are you using? because the air requirements for the average HVLP shooter is much higher than what average hobbyist compressors can put out, i.e. 6-8 cfm @ 90 psi required vs. 4 cfm @ 90 psi (likely performance). To get that much flow at 90psi you're likely looking at larger 220v/1P motors.
LVLP will work, but will put out less paint and likely take much longer to spray an entire car. 4 cfm @ 90 psi should be good enough for LVLP.

You may need to bump your budget slightly. But Duluth Pack is about as BIFL as you can get.

I actually was looking into that last night. Seems like RO systems are the best. Is there a system you recommend? I was trying to find a system that did RO and remineralising both.

Does it need to be leather? If it's for riding the Timbuk2 bags are incredible and last forever. If you need something stylish then you'll have to look elsewhere.

I've found these to be the bmw's of food storage- peerless during the early phase of ownership, fall apart thereafter. Not at all buy it for life material.
