If you are looking for BIFL, I would recommend a horn comb. It's more expensive than a plastic one, but it will last a lifetime. Moreover, it does not get dirty (much less than a plastic one, anyway), it's gentler to the hair, nice to the touch, and it can be beautiful.

My papaw had a Kent comb that I received when he passed away. Since I was a kid, the teeth ended up getting messed up from misuse and then thrown away. I never knew the brand, only the color. Seeing your comb made me look it up and I can’t wait to get one now. He died when I was young but I hope to get one for him since I messed up his. Didn’t think a comb would make me cry tbh

I have a Kent as well, I don't use it daily, I don't have enough hair. I use it when trimming my beard. The quality is great, the teeth never catch on the hair like the cheap one I had would.

Perhaps it depends on what you use them for. Darn Tough socks are probably amazing for wearing in work boots. I use Icebreaker for hiking, running and backcountry skiing. I have three pairs. The oldest is six years old and has been on around 50 skiing trips. Still going strong.

I will try some icebreakers. I have never worn a "footed" sock. Honestly Darn Tough socks are really spectacular for comfort and last a long long time. I have several pairs that are over 4 years old and going strong!

Maybe if you want lasting wool socks with a warranty, but I'm not very happy with the fit. Icebreaker wool socks with anatomic fit (for left and right foot) are in a completely different league and oh so comfortable that I don't mind that they don't come with a warranty. They still last a very long time if you don't wash them too often.

I bought the HF3520 - used, was about two years old. I used it for another year then it started to misbehave. Sometimes it wouldn‘t light up or just turn off the light again after reaching max brightness. I loved it but I wouldn‘t buy it again.

That thing isn‘t able set the time via radio. Also if you lose power, you have to set the time again. No battery support whatsoever. I expect more - this product hasn‘t really evolved over the years yet they are pricey!

Now I bought a Philips Hue bulb and a bridge so I can use it as my sunrise alarm. Works like a charm and is even more versatile.
