I think a year is a long enough time too for now. I will look into the harbinger ones. Thank you!

I don’t. I’ve only just started doing pull-ups on the assisted pull-up machine at my college gym. This gym doesn’t allow us to use powdered chalk and they didn’t have any liquid chalk on hand so I haven’t tried using it yet, but I really need to get some.
Apart from adding grip, does using chalk help with calluses as well?

Harbinger is good. Most gloves wear out after a year or so of weight lifting though, so not buy it for life.

Not what you are asking for: do you use chalk when pulling? If not, do. “Liquid chalk” may be easier to keep in a gym bag and is generally better received in commercial gyms.
Using alternate grip too could make sense too (it depends).

Yep, and I have a spare PCB. This keyboard will last the rest of my career (unless I get bored of it and swap it for something else...)

No problem, glad to help. I found that gloves were not much help long term as work load increased.

My calluses aren’t fully developed yet, but that part hurts. It’s not hard enough for me to file them, however I still want to prevent getting calluses.
Thanks for the help tho, I never knew such a thing even existed.

I see, thank you! I do 3 sets of 12 and some other pull exercises and I’ve started developing calluses. I’ll keep this in mind.

I bought a cheap pair for under $10 at Walmart years ago for the same purpose. I wouldn’t put too much thought into it. Unless you’re doing 100 pull-ups a day, most off the shelf things will last a long time.

I got mine off Amazon a couple of years ago for less than $15. They're showing no wear. I don't know the brand, but they are nylon with silicon grips. I use them for pull ups.

Yes thank you the first manufacturing styles are amazing!! Are they actually real leather? I'm just curious longevity wise, will they last as long as the Schott brand leather? FM does have lifetime warranty it seems
MalagrugrousPatroon t1_j70kby3 wrote
I think Schott will get you close off the rack if you want top notch quality.
But I think First Manufacturing will get you closest in style, and at a better price. They actually have jackets with zip out hoods. They make inexpensive but nice riding jackets which are comfortable just standing around. They range from simple to technical, as in some of the jackets might be loaded with vents or perforations you don't want, or have a zip out thermal vest. In any case, they have decent materials.

I'd suggest "Roots Men's Trucker Jacket Vegetal". They're not cheap, but they ARE real leather.
Roots leather jackets are very high quality and long wearing. I have one that I got in 1998 that I wear regularly and shows a nice aging patina but no signs of wear.

I have a few MX Masters (a 2S and a 3) and for some reason they really bother my hand/wrist after a few hours of use. Not sure if it's the weight, or the angle it forces my hand into. I love the clicks and the scroll wheel on them, though. I find that the Logitech G502 or Razer Basilisk V3 work a lot better for my hand without making it hurt after a while. Logitech does make great products though. I used a G400s for 7 years and it still works great, I just wanted something different. Also used a G602 at work for a few years before wanting something with an infinite scroll wheel. I'm also pretty hard on my mice as my work requires a lot of clicking, scrolling, etc.

I've had a bad experience with the 2S. Mine died within 2 years because the thumb button fell through and kept registering as held constantly which meant moving the cursor didn't work anymore. The weird thing is I didn't even use the thumb button, I guess it disloged itself because of wiping with wet wipes too much.
Function wise the mouse is good though, plenty of buttons and the secondary scroll can be useful sometimes. I used to use it on my phone sometimes too.

They're real leather, they usually use cowhide but use a few other leather types and some textile. They don't use fake leathers.
The leather is a lot softer and a little thinner than Schott, or Vanson. But I think the quality of the leather is still good. They use drum dying, at least on some jackets, which means the color won't fade as fast as a very cheap jacket. They're also made for riding, so they have to have fairly strong materials and stitching to survive sliding down a highway.
They have one jacket which says "0.08-0.09mm" thickness, and I think that has to be a typo, because leather that thin would be like paper. Fashion jackets don't even go that thin, they range from 0.5mm-0.9mm, so if you get a jacket with a thickness of 1.0mm and up, then you already have something unusually robust.
