Are they actually good? Or is it just for branding?

That is not correct at least as of the last 3 years. I buy my sheets from ikea and they fit my bed (not ikea) perfectly.

You don’t need the defender it’s way too bulky. I always have used the Otterbox commuter it’s same durability but way slimmer and very protective. Has saved all my iPhones from many many MANY falls into concrete. Also get a cheap Amazon screen protector. You really don’t need the expensive brand for the screen protectors.

Nice, I actually have a Buffway now and it’s my second one as well. The first one got wet a few times in the rain and came apart. It’s nice but I’m looking for something smaller and comfortable

I used to be a Merrill Moab guy. Tried out a pair of Oboz. I regret making the change, Moab’s with a nice insole is tough to beat!

Planned obsolescence is something like a phone that stops supporting new software and no longer functions because of it. Poorly made appliances are just poorly made. They quit working because the quality is low.

I have one from a company called Buffway that's pretty good, but it's my second. The first one lasted 6-7 years.

I paid over $800 on a new one for the gf.
She made an awesome mod. A small tube with a hand pump/bulb that makes a siphon and easily drains the drip tray. It goes through a hole in the tray and tucks neatly behind the machine and then into the sink.

$34!?!? Is it just our Savers that marks stuff up to like, new retail price? That’s a steal. Good on ya

What do the acronyms you used (nb, pid) mean?

It makes noise and crinkles? I’ve owned a down comforter for years and that’s not normal. They don’t make any more sound than a thick blanket makes. I wonder if they use a plasticky material for the baffles or something. If you explain what’s happening they might consider it defective and under a warranty.

I have to use steel/composite safety boots, so those are the only ones that can speak about.
I’m hard on them at work, so I can definitely vouch for them. I’m sure the other styles are just as good.
Best of luck.
Edit: At the same time, Blundstone warranty department is definitely amazing. The replaced it without issue. So there is that at least. But I still prefer my Redbacks.

IKEA quality has increased enormously in the last dozen+ years (used to be that every item 'screamed IKEA w/ undertones of 'not expensive' - no more)
That said: beware of beds (esp) and bedding (maybe not duvets?).. this is because Ikea bed sizes from Sweden.. NOT USA Standards! So, if buy an Ikea bed, limited to aways buying Ikea sheets. Again might not be the case w/ a Duvet, but mesaure!

Reply to Leather vs Nylon for a Travel Bag by ms_misfit0808
Both are bifl.
And imo both have their place.
I think nylon is going to be better if your destination involves being outside and adventuring.
Leather is better if you're destination is for work or if you need to look classy.
I also disagree with the idea that leather requires more maintenance, it's just going to look shitty and defeats what I consider to be it's purpose if it gets stained. That can be cool, and give a used look, but then you're potentially specializing even more.

KONG Classic Dog Toy. Great throw toy as they bounce uneven. The Dog will chase it and then need to turn to get it when it goes sideways.
Larger is better for being chew resistant. Not sure anything is chew proof but I still have one that lasted 15 years.

I feel like I am constantly trying to get rid of cards. License, medical, hsa, company credit card, 2 of my own. Some places like Costco I think you must have a card and I go there like 4 tines a year so I just have my wife bring hers. Oh TMobike gave me free AAA but now I gotta carry the card.
