They're good boots. I like the wide toe box and their rubber is equal to the vibram in Merrells, in my experience.

Their leather is well stitched and, as I said, bomb proof. Again, from my experience.

Does Zephyr work well in puddles, creeks, mud and snow? It gets pretty wet for a good 6-9 months here in Luxembourg. Fields and woods are also wet from the dew in the morning. My dog and us get pretty dirty from outings. I need something that keep my feet dry and easy to hose down mud.

I’ve worn Lowas for years. High country hunting/backpacking. I’ve tried many other brands and nothing (for me) is better. However, I’ve found the Renegades to be the least comfortable of those that I have. For me, the Zephyr is by far a more comfortable boot. It comes in a GTX model so waterproofing isn’t an issue. I also have the Camino GTX, but it is a little heavier boot for more extreme terrain.

I have an old feather duvet for the top of the bed. It keeps the rest of the sheets and blankets in good shape

Herman Miller chairs can last a lot longer than 10yrs. You can get replacement seat pads and other parts. We bought a pair 9 years or so ago. One has had a new seat pad the other is as-new. Not really any different now to when new.

Power banks die or get broken. They have limited charge, then no way to recharge them in the field. These things are durable, and there is almost always a charged bb2590 laying around.

If you have Amish or Hutterite communities near you it may be worth it to buy from a person or community instead of a company. My Dad spent a nice chunk to buy my Mom a Hutterite down duvet and pillow in the 90’s and she’s still sleeping under it. The craftsmanship can’t be beat.
