I'm probably gonna replace the milk frother because the arm is a bit drippy even when closed - not enough to cause problems when coffee making and maybe that's just how they are new - also the newer versions you can move it more. Also im gonna throw a bunch of electronics in it to make it more capable - Gaggiuino mod. Basically, my plans for the machine are, new steam arm, insulate the boiler, Gaggiuino. No purely cosmetic stuff like replacing the steam knob or the drip cover because thats how you can tell it's an old one and it's BIFL material.

My grandmother was making quilts and pillows when she was young. I honestly dont know what bird feathers she was using but they would exit sometimes through stiches, white and sometimes gray. She bought fabric for filling on large quantitie and did it herself. Fabric was silky shiny, thick, cold on touch and strong. That is still in house of my family and each year i visit them im trying to get it for myself and got denied. And im still "angry" at my mom that she trashed ours in '90 because she discovered she is allergic to feathers. But my god best ever to sleep!

I agree BIFL aside it’s decent.

I’ve gone through 2 in 5 years with near daily use.

They rust quickly and are not repair friendly. Cuisinart seems to know this as they have refurbished stock readily available for warranty claims.

Also Cuisinart doesn’t stock parts or support repair.

Red Land Cotton, for sure. They hold up well to dogs because the fabric is a lot better than other companies. Then again that can probably be attributed to the company growing and ginning its own cotton vs buying it off the open market.

They didn't say run with the lid open. On my tr5 I can start a load, let it fill and cancel the wash cycle this lets the clothes soak a bit, before you resume the cycle. Not sure on a tr7 as its digital

It's either fake or simply unnecessary for these purposes. In an ultralight backpacking jacket or sleeping bag, it's good, you're just paying way too money for something that is only 2% lighter weight. Go to r/ultralight and search down. More info than you could ever imagine.

I'd normally suggest Frette, what I have at home, but with the dogs just get a nice cheap percale, learn to machine darn, and expect to replace regularly.

I use Amazon Pinzon in my short term rentals, they hold up well for a couple years and stay nice and crisp white in high heat washes.
