1000+ thread count isn’t real, and thread count is a marketing scheme, don’t buy into the hype.

Also, pretty well known that Egyptian Cotton is a scam. There have been tons of lawsuits over it being mislabeled and in fact, a vast majority of it isn’t even from Egypt. It isn’t better than Pima, Supima, or upland Cotton.

Yeah funny thing about brands. Someone, somewhere has already had a bad experience. It can be very hard to judge exactly how reliable a brand or specific model is using only hearsay. The key is the actual service rates and statistics by companies that actually do testing of appliances, as well as the people who service them regularly. Otherwise, you'll find it impossible to navigate the sea of complaints and horror stories.

I would try using less, even on a large load I only fill the cap to the 3rd line out of 5. If that doesn’t work try switching detergents, I’ve used All and tide ultra with excellent results

Oh yes. I shop worn ware weekly.

I have a Patogonia Farmer John fleece, resplendent with back flap and stirrups for your feet.

It is the last word in warmth skiing at zero or riding la motos at sub 30.

Walking the lunatic chocolate lab this evening I had the thought "I've been using Patagonia gear since the early 80's... " I'm 60 now, and have most of the gear from the way back...and the Patagonia gear just flat lasts and serves well, year in, year out.

I have a TR7. I put the detergent in first. I haven’t had a issue with the clothes staining and I don’t dilute it either. What brand detergent are you using and how much?

What type of detergent are you using? Try liquid detergent, pour it in the empty wash tub (do NOT use too much — very common to use too much detergent), and then start the water fill. After the tub is approx 1/4 full of water and dissolved the detergent, then add the clothes.

That’s because speed queen uses designs from 30 years ago when you had to basically pre- dissolve your detergent.

They are kind of like Toyotas. Reliable by virtue of using old technology for a million years without any changes, after the rest of the industry has moved on. That’s why the 2023 4Runner has a 5 speed transmission and gets 18mpg and the tr7 can’t handle regular detergent lol.

Few years back the pump literally fell off of my family’s Samsung washing machine. Flooded the laundry room, and took us hours upon hours to clean up. Water even got into the bathroom, which was the next room over. Samsung refused to repair it for free. We ended up junking the thing, and telling Samsung we would never buy another one of there products. We had an LG washer next, and towards the end of its life, it had similar issues, but no pump falling off, and causing a flood. It did however reek of mildew and dankness.
