“We are going to die, and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people are never going to die because they are never going to be born. The potential people who could have been here in my place but who will in fact never see the light of day outnumber the sand grains of Arabia. Certainly those unborn ghosts include greater poets than Keats, scientists greater than Newton. We know this because the set of possible people allowed by our DNA so massively exceeds the set of actual people. In the teeth of these stupefying odds it is you and I, in our ordinariness, that are here. We privileged few, who won the lottery of birth against all odds, how dare we whine at our inevitable return to that prior state from which the vast majority have never stirred?”

I believe in the standard Judeo Christian belief that not only will we go to a spirit world after we leave this life, so that we can be taught about the ways of our Father, and at the end of a literal thousand year millennium we will all be resurrected and have perfect bodies that will never suffer again. That’s the part I really like!

I’ve had a near death experience, you feel this weird peace.

It’s not like the peace that you feel when you’re meditating or doing something calm, it’s even more peaceful than that. So I think you will feel utmost peace while each of your neurons shut down, and then darkness.

I also believe that maybe people manifest their afterlife based on what they believed in 🤷‍♀️

2,996, including the hijackers. 2,753 in the World Trade Center, 184 at the Pentagon and 40 elsewhere. Do your research, all sources say under 3,000

>You're an idiot.

Edit: Reread your message and saw you meant outside of that. You're saying over the course of 20 years, maximum 400,000 people died? That is an absolute win for us, seeing as that is 20,000 a year. Barely makes a dent in our normal death rate of NEARLY 70,000,000 A YEAR. 20k is nothing.
