Why does this get asked daily? No I don't tip for jobs I can do myself

I just wish more people knew how the tip credit system actually works, people working legally don't go home on payday with less than minimum wage whether you tip or not. Employer covers the difference if you don't make enough in claimed tips for the pay period

It’s not a thing where I live, waiters are paid a substantially salary and do their job correctly or are fired, people don’t have to do a lot of math as a group as to what to pay, and nobody ever pay by cash anyway.

The only thing still affecting us today are higher security and patriot act, both of which help the world. Under 3,000 people died on 9/11. With modern guns, bombs and drones, terrorists could do way more damage.
We lost 3,000 lives, and with the extra measures 9/11 caused, it might have saved millions.

No,
As a Brit we find it weird, There are some professions where it's optional to leave a tip but that is on the expectation of receiving great service.
If they are working then they should have a livable salary without resorting to tips to make up the difference.
If an office worker was fined each day they weren't smiling at their cubicle then it would be fair, Why are fast food workers somehow penalised?

Yes especially when they are dealing with the difficult situations. But I also think one of the hallmarks of a great relationship is also being comfortable sitting in silence. Just enjoying being around each other whether you're watching TV or you're reading a book.

No one should feel obligated to tip, but if the service is good, I usually do.

No. The restaurant should have to pay a living wage and not rely on the generous nature of patrons, once the economy gets worse you lose those tips.
BillTheGreek980 t1_iyf492o wrote
it's terrible. Literally a scam. Companies don't pay their workers as much so they rely on customers tips.
