Thirty years later I'm still in contact with most of them.
Text them weekly and the two who live in the same city as me I see frequently. A couple live in different parts of the country but still see them about once a year.

I'm from the South, and I was raised on Soul food--fried everything, heavy use of bacon grease and lard. And it's delicious. But I only eat it about once every six months now :(
