Raising minimum wage would make everything more expensive by increasing a businesses costs. Then people on minimum wage still wouldn't be able to afford everything they wanted. It would be really difficult for small businesses.
Minimum wages shouldn't be a comfortable career. It should be used as a stepping stone. Gain experience and some marketable job skills so you can find better pay elsewhere.

I have a brother that is 10 years older than me. He moved out when he was 17 so I didn’t really have much of a relationship with him as a kid. It wasn’t until I was around 18 that we started interacting more and now I’m just as close with him as I am with my other siblings.

I don't think that's considered conventionally unattractive at all, some people can't handle it though that's an individual preference, in general it's a trait which most people look for.
