Wonderful piece of skill. The shades and color gradients have be painted exceptionally well.

Made me smile, you captured the classic mischievous look of the shoebill perfectly.

If you break up the image into smaller pieces, it becomes a bit more obvious. Still says nothing of the skill required to visualise what it will look like when it's all together though.

This is adorable and reminds me of a children’s picture book about little chickens. I seem to remember a similar illustration style with lots of flowers and a cute home for the chickens and/or their neighbors. I hope someone can remind me what book I’m thinking of.

I looked at some of your other work, you're really talented, but the despair in this painting is what makes it beautiful. I'm sure that boy had a wonderful spirit in his short life, but in that moment, he was confronted with the ugliness of the world. It's not a happy scene, I think you did it justice.

I immediately recognized the reference. Beautiful rendering of a devastating photograph.
