So detailed and cool! I love how the big one has it's wings spread, it looks like a mom trying to protect her chick

I get it. Don't let people trying to gatekeep what they consider "legitimate" art get to you - I literally stopped scrolling to look closer at it as it spoke to me in a beautiful way. <3

Oh wow I never really noticed that. That's definitely an apt metaphor for all people of all times. The universe loves to misdirect us with one hand while it slaps us with the other.

Thank you, that means so much.
I cannot draw to save my life. So it’s the only way I can create something new and have fun.

Damn, I love that view. I dont think I’ll ever look at it the same.
I also enjoy how the fishermen are looking at the waves below, yet the great wave above will likely be their demise.

I absolutely love this. Collages are an amazing way to remix images, and are completely valid as a form of art.
Also, it's looks anazing!

That's literally what a collage is. If you don't like that genre of art, fine; but you're acting as if the artist is engaging in plagiarism by doing a well established genre of art.

I love the little wave peaks like fingertips, or like a fractal pattern, each wave has several tiny waves, each made of several tinier waves. It evokes the idea of Indra's Web, or Indra's Net, an infinite net or spiderweb covered in dew, where every droplet contains in it the reflection of every other droplet, an expression of pratityasamutpada, the dependent origination of all things.

If I remember correctly this was woodblock. I love the chaos and serenity it brings.

That’s totally fair. I should have referenced Hokusai as that was the only artist whose name I had. Everything else was random clippings I found.

I love the use of Hokusai's waves underneath. One of my favorite paintings...or is that a woodblock? I think it might be a woodblock but either way I've always loved it.

I wish I had created armature. Or planned it out ahead of time… it would’ve saved me a lot of work.
I worked on it over a couple of weeks. 20 or 30 minute chunks here and there. Baking parts along the way, scrapping parts, making new ones.
Head is foil filled. Neck is foil with a wire through it that fits into a hole drilled in the head and the bust. Bust part is modeled around a 15.5 fl oz aluminum can on top of a small peice of wood.
Pedestal is molded around a prescription bottle, mason jar lids and a peanut butter lid.

Did you create an armature and build out the sections with filled material to use less polymer clay? How long did you bake each section and for how long? Love Helper. This piece is really interesting, but I’m also trying to make larger pieces myself. Sorry for all the questions!

That is a sweet animation! I like the graphics, but it could've used a little more motion on the setting. Well done with the pixels. 🖼👏

Pixel art is a different world to me but I wish I could get into it, it's somehow a perfect bond between traditional aesthetics and digital render.
