Probably he has HIV/AIDS. When I was a kid it was all over the news, health adverts, doctor surgeries, hospitals, schools and everywhere 'USE A CONDOM'. Now the massive over 1000% increase in HIV infections over the last 8 years in never mentioned once anywhere.

Reply to Songs where a man favors life at sea, either explicitly or implicitly, versus the soft caresses of a woman. What songs do you say ? by Bo-Jacks-Son
Isn't "Southern Cross" a song pining about a woman? I don't think the narrator prefers being on the open sea so much as it is plan b.

Reply to The Metro is the reason my car stays in the garage for weeks at a time. Without it, I would be driving 3-4 days a week. How much more frequently would you be driving if it weren’t for the Metro? by SuperBethesda
I live in Ashburn, and use the Silver to get to work...can walk from my house to grocery and restaurants, so my car happily sits at home most of the time. Love the Metro!

I have a theory that the name of the school—Alder Rayne University—has to be a hint. Alder is a type of tree (trees are often significant to inhuman things, BUT alder has another meaning; alder as in aldermen, so I’m thinking it’s the City/Town Council. They made the deal with the man in the rain, allowing the inhuman world nearly total access to the university, and it’s transient/temporary occupants in exchange for keeping to the university grounds, and leaving the town and faculty protected. That’s who I’m suspecting.

Reply to comment by DM_ME_SHORTSTACKS in [WP] It was the funeral of your grandfather who used to be a hero. He was just a low rank hero, but was extremely kind. On the day of his burial, you were surprised at the number of people attending. Upon looking closer, you realize they were former and currently infamous villains of their time. by Vahn456
Well done! Absolutely amazing.

Reply to Cash out to pay CC off? by TransitUX
I hear folks giving you probably the best financial advice (i.e. allowing your 401k to grow and compound). However, there is a personal decision here to make as well and that is how much stress you have and if you can stop spending on your CC. Typically when you take a loan from 401k the interest paid back will go into your 401k (and not to a bank). You may get peace and less stress by taking that approach.

Reply to Best CT Pizza? What y’all think? I feel like neither are the best, I believe Frank Pepe’s is the best in CT, what do you think? by thewonderxo
As others have said, New Haven reigns supreme. In particular, Modern is my choice.
That being said there are plenty of contenders. I grew up on Wooster St so Sally's and Pepe's will always hold a place in my heart but Modern, and honestly Bar, are the kings. Little Rendezvous in Meriden and Hometown in Wallingford are solid if you're in the area. Joey's in Hartford is great. It really just comes down to your preference but I've never once been recommended a pizza joint in Willimantic. I'll have to check em out.

How can that be the only record of caeserland?
A minimum effort google search yields picture of both the signage on the front of a Ceasarland and the interior theming. Like, obviously it existed. The internet has pictures.
