I have a theory that the name of the school—Alder Rayne University—has to be a hint. Alder is a type of tree (trees are often significant to inhuman things, BUT alder has another meaning; alder as in aldermen, so I’m thinking it’s the City/Town Council. They made the deal with the man in the rain, allowing the inhuman world nearly total access to the university, and it’s transient/temporary occupants in exchange for keeping to the university grounds, and leaving the town and faculty protected. That’s who I’m suspecting.

I hear folks giving you probably the best financial advice (i.e. allowing your 401k to grow and compound). However, there is a personal decision here to make as well and that is how much stress you have and if you can stop spending on your CC. Typically when you take a loan from 401k the interest paid back will go into your 401k (and not to a bank). You may get peace and less stress by taking that approach.

As others have said, New Haven reigns supreme. In particular, Modern is my choice.

That being said there are plenty of contenders. I grew up on Wooster St so Sally's and Pepe's will always hold a place in my heart but Modern, and honestly Bar, are the kings. Little Rendezvous in Meriden and Hometown in Wallingford are solid if you're in the area. Joey's in Hartford is great. It really just comes down to your preference but I've never once been recommended a pizza joint in Willimantic. I'll have to check em out.
