Reply to How soon will people be confortable with being treated only by machines, as opposed to AI-assisted human medical doctors? by Aromatic_Highlight27
I would be very comfortable if there are layers of safety in play such that I am not getting an opinion on just one a single machine. For example, multiple independent AIs that come to the same conclusion would be reassuring and can be done readily. A reflective module that checks these answers can be useful as well. Once you add multiple layers of protection and this system is proven to be very safe, then I no longer need a human doctor.

Dupont IMO is a more fun area, lots of shops, bars and restaurants, centrally located etc. noma is a new neighborhood with less charm etc but bigger buildings with amenities.

I'm pretty easy to please with knockoff 24 shows. Give me a decent plot, decent chemistry between the leads, decent side characters, and I'm happy.

Bear with me I'm 60 IQ.
These would just be an external powersource I'd have to route it through? Are there portable amps that don't need an outlet?
Has anyone tried the 80 ohm version? How does it compare? Is it worth getting the amp for the difference?

I’m glad they’re building, but I’m really over these ugly buildings that have a bunch of different materials for no reason. Also there’s not nearly enough parking spaces for these new apartment buildings. People who can afford $3k/month for a 1 bedroom apartment are probably going to have/want a car, too.
Same for the building going up behind the firehouse on 21st street. I’m all for ditching surface lots, but they really need to start better accounting for parking needs/wants. I’d love for there to be less cars in the city, but that’s not happening any time soon.

Reply to TIL: honeycombs start out circular, and the surface tension of the beeswax pulls them into hexagons as it solidifies, because it is the most energetically favorable conformation. by craigdahlke
I wonder if something similar is happening at Saturns polar region. No one can explain that hexagon yet.
It's not solid, and surface tension should mean jack at that scale. But some force is creating the same shape.

Why would you pay 5/month subscription if you aren't forced to?
The thing that gm is missing is they are behind the competition and that is not a good time to make your offerings less desirable. I would not buy a car without android auto much less a gm without android auto.
