I disagree. Its overall vibe is so blasé; boring even. The mediocre musicianship distracts from the pleasant sound of her voice. It's a mess. I'm appalled that anyone can hear this song and think it's good, much less deserving of a number 1 spot on any chart.

Reply to comment by Academic_Guava_4190 in Sometimes I wonder about the dudes that used to fish off the side where Encore is, back when it was a toxic superfund site. by _AttilaTheNun_
The encore site went back into the 1800s from what I recall. I wasn’t a big fan of a casino so I read the environmental proposal. From what I recall, a hundred years ago, after the site was done with chemicals and had them in surplus they would just steam shovel them into the ground… all the goodies you would never want buried or near water. It is worth a read.
When I was done… I just said.. yep, build a casino. That is the only business that can print money and cover the cost of dealing with that. The only other thing you could build there would be a Treasury building that prints actual money.
These are the special stripers they would catch.

In fairness, it doesn't really matter what you interact with. Twitter is just a sewer of alt-right hate speech for everyone.

Agree there. Braces just become normal and you forget about them, but the annoyance of a retainer never goes away.

You know those hovering displays that are popular lately? For Bluetooth speakers or whatever. It's a magnetically levitating thing right? How would I make one for a phone that can also gently charge the device by Qi? If it's an inch away or so it could work but I am struggling to find parts for this for under $100.

No, I know that's what you mean, and it's wrong. Basically everything that guy said that's specific enough or backwards-looking (so available facts to support/refute) is factually wrong. Just one example:
>...crime... are all at all-time highs...
There's lots of different crimes, but most of them peaked in the 1980s. Here's murder:
https://www.statista.com/statistics/187592/death-rate-from-homicide-in-the-us-since-1950/
Note: it went up a bit during COVID to 6.9, still way below what it was in the 1980s.

Reply to comment by [deleted] in A Timeline Of The Earths Average Temperature - Since The Last Ice Age Glaciation. by Ok_Satisfaction6810
Nonsense. It shows that our entire fabric of society sprouted and flourished in a climate that was incredibly stable and predictable. Yes climates have shifted, but not with complex human societies around. The chart also shows very clearly how the recent jump in temperature corresponds to industrial scale burning of fossil fuels.
Climates change, but if it happens fast, shocks can ruin societies. We humans made it go fast. Anyone denying the overwhelming amount of evidence just doesnt want to change his or her ways, and doesnt want to do anything to force the higher ups to change.
