>I think the peace of mind of not having that debt over your head is worth $20 a month to most people, but it’s not wrong either way

It becomes a mathematical best vs possibly emotional best.

>There’s also the reality that most people will SAY they’re going to pay the minimum and invest the rest, but in reality they pay the minimum and spend the rest. Paying down debt is irrevocable forced savings.

Yes, self control is required, (edit to finish accidental early posting follows) but that applies elsewhere too.

That video is fucking weird. The major reason for the shitshow of recycling right now is that it got outsourced to China because it became comparatively economically nonviable in the US, and the China said "nevermore" to the health issues being caused by the outsourcing, passed regulations, and now here we are without even the facilities we used to have for recycling because they couldn't compete with unregulated China.

Video mentions you can only recycle plastic twice? Wouldn't that decrease plastic consumption to a third of present consumption? Fucking video for morons.

Please go to true dental care. They are amazing and also have the ability to make your trays in-house which passes on a huge savings to you. I had 5 months of treatment done there and was very happy with my results.

Wish more companies experimented with colors. I understand that black and silver will always sell more than red, blue, purple, etc so demand isn’t as much, but I would definitely be willing to pay a slight up charge for a cool color.

This song caused my then 6 year old to loudly complain to her teacher that the reading book she'd brought home from school was wrong. The book had tried to convince her the sun was made of gas and, thanks to They Might Be Giants, she knew that was wrong and was furious that school had lied to her.

Yeah it’s truly baffling but this guy is just making idiotic arguments based on his own feelings so I don’t put much weight in it anyway. And agreed I love NJ but there’s no sense in papering over our issues and pretending they’re not a thing. How else are we gonna improve them otherwise?

Benzos work to make GABA receptors more functional. These are the locks. Glutamate is the key that activates it. Taking benzos make the lock more unlockable. Drinking alcohol affects glutamate activitity. As a CNS depressant it inhibits these GABA receptors therefore your body compensated by creating more GABA receptors. This is why someone who’s drank too much for too long has severe withdrawals. The increase in GABA receptors is fine when they’re all inhibited, but when you stop drinking then the glutamate levels shoot up and it causes people to have seizures when they stop drinking. So they literally need to keep drinking to stay alive.

That’s also a distinction i like to make in the dependence/addiction vernacular but thats a side point you’re not asking about :)
