I am having some confusion around this as originally I lived in the unit, but I bought a new home after and got a rental licence for my unit, however EVEN after I asked, I was not told new zoning was needed. I had a limited lodging licence, then switched to a rental but the zoning wasn't changed as it wasn't mentioned when I asked L&I what was it they needed 🤦🏻‍♀️

Yeah true, more likely just the testing on a larger scale than they could do themselves without outsourcing to the public, but it does seem like with the results I've seen from Bard it wasn't worth it. Maybe it is possible they have a better model not released, and the next update to the public would appear even greater by comparison and they can say "look how quickly we can improve our model!"

Nova Tropicals is gorgeous. They do have a betta selection although stock seems to vary - might recommend calling them first to see how much they have in. I definitely recommend checking them out. Even if you don't find your dream betta there if you go, it's still a great store to look around. I didn't end up getting a betta from them, but they're probably my first choice if I decide to restart my tank at some point

I got a betta from Tropical Lagoon in Silver Spring and it ended up having really bad ich which was kind of a pain, especially because I'm new to the hobby.
