Well, imagine you and your friends like to play a game where you trade toys with each other. If everyone agrees to use marbles as the currency for this game, it becomes easier to trade toys because you all know how much marbles are worth.

Now, imagine that many countries around the world trade oil with each other. They also need a currency that they all agree is worth something, so they can trade oil easily. For a long time, they agreed to use the US dollar as the currency for trading oil. This means that when countries buy or sell oil, they use US dollars to do it.

Thanks for the comment. I definitely need to diversify and I plan to do so when I sell the house, but truth be told at the time I just didn't have enough money to meaningfully invest in the S&P. I bought this house when I was 22 with around $1,200 of my own money all-in (closing costs and a roof repair) and the house itself has been smooth sailing ever since -- it's losing our main stream of income earlier than we were anticipating that has put us tight. But you're totally right, we should be much more liquid at this point.

With that said, I'm definitely going to look into Index funds, I appreciate your input.

Seymour and Woodbury have an antiques trail. Lots of shops.

I’m not sure when it opens, but Elephant’s Trunk is an awesome flea market for Sunday mornings. Should be open in May. Antiques and more. Not quite southern, but worth going north.

Book Barn is lovely if either of you are readers. That’s in Niantic.

Correct, but I believe those failures were during their first “Commercial” satellite contracts, which ended in failed orbit and destruction of client property (the satellite).

As someone in product development, this sort of failure at the start of your product launch (no pun intended) can make/break your reputation as a trusted source for that market. People will take their business to the product that is proven, rather than taking a high gamble on something that has a higher probability to fail and destroy your goods.

SpaceX has been through many failures themselves, but they broke through and created a reliable & reusable launch system at a lower cost offering. Other companies, though more expensive, have at least proven reliability and minimized failed contracts.

Yes, it’s “playable” but whether it’s “fun to play” is a different conversation lol.

I thought it would be like an ES or Fallout game where want to keep creating new characters to explore every possible build/storyline and find new and exciting things almost every time I pick it up, but nah.

It’s very pretty though.

Putting aside the political undertones behind many peoples' desire to publish "the algorithm", this is a phenomenal piece of educational content for ML professionals.

Here we have a world-class complex recommendation & ranking system laid bare for all to read into, and develop upon. This is a veritable gold mine of an an educational resource.
